1、Wear Resistance

The general reason for the failure of graphite mould due to wear is that when the blank material is plastic denaturated in the die cavity, it flows and slides along the surface of the cavity, resulting in intense friction between the surface of the cavity and the blank.

2、Obdurability

Graphite moulds are generally used in harsh environments, and some need to bear relatively large impact load, resulting in brittle fracture. It is the high purity graphite products with relatively high toughness and strength, conducive to prevent the mould parts in the work of sudden brittle break. The toughtness is mainly related to the microstructure, grain size and carbon content of the material.
